On September 17, a group of individuals representing all ages, races, backgrounds protested against wall street in New York City. The wanted to ‘move in’ and Occupy Wall Street, by flooding lower Manhattan with peaceful protesters, setting up beds, kitchens and peaceful demonstration outposts. They want to show that 'We the 99% are fed up with the greed and corruption of the 1%.They want the "New World Order", corporations ruling and influencing government and the economy, bail outs and tax breaks for the 1%, ruinous government policy, and the corruption and unconstitutional fraud of the Federal Reserve.
They are using non-violent demonstration. They wan to restore restore a balance of real democracy in this nation. Several Celebrities/artists have approached the protest. Immortal Technique spoke out against US government money borrowing policies, stating: "The majority of the population are getting nothing from those loans".He said that the revenue from the loans was being invested in 'foreign firms,' in countries where labor is cheaper. He also talked about the potential for democratically elected officials to become corrupted and influenced by wealthy lobbyists. "Once they get involved in politics, they come to rely on political contributions... you know that not everyone is going to vote, so you concentrate on fulfilling the needs of special interests." These would constitute guaranteed voters in favour of the politician's party.George Soros is said to be behind the protest.

My reaction to this is that I think it is a good thing. I think its the next step. They shouldn't be able to screw us over like they are. The economy would be better if they straighten up. They need to change some things up. I agree with the protest long it isn't violent and long as no one gets hurt. I think it should be the people decision on how to financially use the money. The banks need to held accountable for their actions. They nearly destroyed our economy. The rich have been getting richer on the backs of the poor and the middle class for too long.Corporations have been abusing the political system for far too long. Free markets do not mean corporate monopolies that control the electoral system. We need to give the power back to the people.THere were a lot more people there than it sounded like from the earlier reports. I Saw of few shots of people just standing there getting pepper spray directly in the face. There are a lot of people in this country that are afraid to see progress. I hope it causes some major changes because we need them, and its clear our government is entirely incapable of doing anything to improve our economy.
Excellent Comments! You have such strong voice. You are brilliant and I hope your truly realize that!
